Registration Policy
The registration deadline for all continuing education courses, with the exception of youth programs, is three (3) business days before the course start date, unless stated otherwise. The registration deadline for youth programs is two (2) weeks before the program start date. Registration is first come, first serve so students are encouraged to register early. If a course reaches capacity for enrollment, a waitlist will be created. Those students will be contacted if space becomes available on a first come, first serve basis.
Payment for all courses is due in full at the time of registration.
Withdrawal/Refund Policy
All requests to withdraw from a course must be submitted to the Continuing Education Department in writing at least three (3) business days before the course start date. Withdrawals will be refunded, minus a $25 processing fee. For courses that include the cost of materials, students will be responsible for the cost of materials ordered or received prior to withdrawing from the course. Students that do not notify the Department within this time frame will not be refunded.
Course Cancellation Policy
The Continuing Education Department reserves the right to cancel courses due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. The Continuing Education Department will notify all enrolled students about the cancellation one week prior to the course start date. Full refunds or transfers to other course sections will be given under these circumstances.
Inclement Weather Policy
Class cancellations due to inclement weather will be announced to students via email. If the Penn State Abington campus is closed, all on-campus continuing education classes will also be closed. Off-campus classes will be cancelled by the discretion of the Continuing Education Department and instructor.

All email communication from the Continuing Education Department will be sent to the email address that the student used to register. Please be sure to check the appropriate email account to ensure you receive relevant information such as confirmations and course updates or changes.
